Source: Dragic, Suns are 'still committed' in face of trade rumors

Suns trading away Goran Dragic, possibly to the Pacers? Not so fast, says a source with knowledge of the talks.

“No, no, no,” the source said. “Nothing to that. The team and Goran, they’re still committed to each other.”

According to an ESPN report, the Pacers — looking to upgrade at point guard — have engaged the Suns in talks about a possible deal that would send Dragic to Indiana. Consider those talks to be decidedly one-sided.

Following a season in which he was third-team All-NBA and averaged 20.3 points on 50.5 percent shooting, the Suns have no interest in moving Dragic, the source said. Dr

agic is entering the third year of a four-year, $30 million contract and has the ability to opt out of his contract and hit free agency next summer.

The Suns, of course, will have to pay restricted free agent guard Eric Bledsoe at some point this offseason, and could wind up with a very expensive backcourt when the dust settles.

Still, that prospect has not been enough to push Phoenix to move Dragic.
