DeMarcus Cousins makes epic rant in light of George Karl rumors

DeMarcus Cousins should have been exuberant after hitting the buzzer-beater that gave the Kings an 85-83 win over the Suns on Sunday. Instead, he used his postgame interview to vent some frustration.

The Kings center is rumored to be the reason the team has not yet hired veteran coach George Karl.

Anonymous sources within the organization say that Sacramento is worried Cousins and Karl will butt heads, according to the Sacramento Bee.

So, despite giving the Kings the extra push toward a victory, Cousins was extremely abrupt and visibly agitated.

"I ain’t pumped up. I’ve just got a lot on my mind,” he said. "The crazy thing about it is, I’ve just got a question for y'all: How you gonna stop God’s plan? How you gonna do that? How you gonna do that? That’s all I want to know. How you gonna stop God’s plan?

"This city done put me through so much, and I’ve stayed loyal to it the whole time," Cousins continued. "I just wanna know how you gonna stop God’s plan? God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. The marathon continues. I’m out."

Without answering questions, Cousins then left the locker room.

Cousins was vocal with his displeasure over former coach Michael Malone being fired, and he has publicly stated that the organization should be more supportive of interim coach Tyrone Corbin.

Karl, one of only nine coaches to reach 1,000 wins in NBA history, has notoriously feuded with players in the past, most notably Carmelo Anthony when the two were with the Nuggets.
