City of Phoenix to recycle wasted LaMarcus Aldridge banner

A wasted effort by the city of Phoenix is going to a good cause.

The Suns locked in on th

eir campaign to bring LaMarcus Aldridge to the state of Arizona by clearing cap space and purchasing a huge banner that was going to be dropped in downtown Phoenix. On Saturday morning, Aldridge ended up picking the Spurs over the Suns, making the banner completely useless.

In one of the better Twitter follow-ups, Mayor Greg Stanton let it be clear that the banner is at least going to a good place after the city’s efforts fell short.
